Whole wheat flour – 2 cups
All purpose flour – 1 cup
Rava (cream of wheat) – 1 cup
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon
Oil to fry – enough for the rolled poori to go in and come up
How to make Poori at home:
Mix all ingredients into a firm dough and knead well.
Cover and leave for a few hours. Make balls of desired size and roll each one.
Fry one at a time in heated oil.
Drop the rolled poori into oil; when it comes up, turn it over gently using a large ladle which has holes in it.
When golden brown, pick it up and lay it on napkins to remove excess oil. Repeat for all poories.
Keep the fried poories next to each other on large plates without piling them up.
If dough is remaining, you can refrigerate it and use it up to 4 days. It will make delicious fluffy poories once again!
