This recipe is for vegetarian people, who can’t enjoy these 2 fish malaikary recipes. Gobi malaikary is a similar recipe with awesome flavor.

What do you need to make Gobi Malaikary

1 cauliflower cut in small pieces
1 tbsp ginger paste
pinch of chili powder
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp jeera powder
1 onion finely chopped
1/2 cup coconut milk
Raw garam masala(cinamons,cardamoms,black paper & cloves)
2 green chillis finely chopped
2 tbsp mustard oil
Salt to taste
Little sugar

How to make Gobi Malaikary 

  • First in a pan heat water and add little salt.
  • Add the cauliflower pieces and boil them for 4-5 min.
  • Drain the water and keep the pieces dry.
  • Now add oil in a pan and fry the cauliflower pieces with little salt & turmeric powder.
  • Now if required, add little more oil.
  • Add raw garam masala to the oil and stir for 1-2 min.
  • Now add chopped onions & green chills.
  • Add salt & turmeric powder.
  • Fry the onions till color turns brown.
  • Then add chili powder, ginger paste & jeera powder.
  • Stir well and then add coconut milk to pan.
  • Add a pinch of sugar.
  • Finally add fried cauliflower pieces to pan.
  • Cover the pan and cook for next 8-10 min.
  • Malaikary is ready with a thick gravy.
  • Serve hot with boiled rice.
