How to make Teasel gourd pakora

First remove the surface slowly of each teasel gourd. Generally they have sharp & rough surface.
Just scratch them slowly.
Now slit them in 2 piece from middle.
In a bowl add little salt & boil the teasel gourd pieces.
Don’t over boil them, Just make sure to boil them 2/3 th only.
Cool them & remove the seeds using a spoon. Keep them aside.

Now pour little oil in a pan & add the onions.
Add green chilis as well.
Fry the onions till golden brown.
Add all the spices for stuffing except mustard powder one by one & stir for few minutes.
Now add the teasel gourd seeds that we have kept earlier & also the musturd powder. Mix them well.

Make a uniform mixture for the stuffing.

Now take little portion of this mixture and fill each teasel gourd piece.
Gradually do for all the pieces and keep them aside.
Now heat oil in a pan for deep frying.

By the time take maida & besan in a bowl & add all the spices for batter.
Make a smoothe little thick paste with required amount of water.
Our oil is ready for deep fry.
Now take one stuffed teasel gourd and dip into that batter.
Put that into the hot oil for deep frying.
Fry them all one by one till colour changes to golden brown.

You might use bread crumbs to make the surface more crispy.
I thought about that later on. You might try and let me know how that work.

Anyway, our pakora is ready. You can enjoy them with sauce or also have them with steamed rice.

Enjoy food & be healthy.

Once again I would like to thank all my readers to be my driving force to cook & write for you.
Have a good day…………
